Licensure

The state of Missouri licenses The Mary Culver Home as an intermediate care facility, which means residents can receive minimal assistance through full nursing care and hospice services. Typically, ladies move to the home because they have trouble living independently. For one monthly inclusive fee, we provide meals, medications, nursing care, housekeeping, activities, and laundry. Our caregivers are accustomed to assisting residents with dressing, eating, bathing, toileting, and ambulation. Best of all, we accept residents for life. They do not have to move to another facility when their care needs change.

Resident-Centered Care

When residents check into the home, they meet with the administrator to discuss their preferences. If they wish to sleep late or dine outside of main mealtimes, they are welcome to do so. The Mary Culver Home arranges daily activities based on resident input. Additionally, the administrator hosts a monthly council to plan outings, handle concerns, and solicit input on seasonal menus.

Quality Standards

The Mary Culver Home follows faithfully the state regulations governing nursing home care, in many cases going far beyond the minimum requirements. In 2017, the state inspectors declared the home “in substantial compliance with Missouri Nursing Home Rules and Regulations” with zero deficiencies, a status it has achieved in 14 of the past 16 years. Of particular pride is the inspector’s comment that the residents are content with their experience at The Mary Culver Home and note that staff members are friendly and helpful.
